Hydrotherapy Spa
Donated to Ryan House
Shasta Pools is proud to be a part of a new project called Ryan House. (Click here to view progress pictures)
Ryan House is a non-profit organization that focuses on children with a life-threatening diagnosis and also their families. It is a home away from home, offering “on the house” living quarters for the families seeking to be with their children while they receive medical care here in the valley. They focus not only on the medical care of the children, but also the emotional and spiritual care that is just as vital. At the heart of Ryan’s House is the focus of living life to the fullest, which is what they are trying to accomplish. Ryan House is trying to give families the opportunity to live life to the fullest, renew their energy, and give them a new perspective.
The facilities at Ryan House include the children’s bedrooms, bathing rooms, family bedrooms, a great room, an art room, a sensory room, a music room, a memorial garden, a backyard and playground area, and last but not least, a hydrotherapy room. This is where Shasta has done its part to be involved in this growing project. The hydrotherapy room is an area for the children and families to relax but most importantly receive therapy through increased circulation, improved sleeping patterns, and pain relief. Shasta has donated the spa in efforts to help these children live their lives to the fullest, one day at a time.
Shasta is simply proud to be a part of an organization that is trying to give back to the community and truly reaching out to parents and children in need.
Shasta Gives Back
Recently, a local family had signed a contract with a valley pool builder and the construction process began. The Behan family was getting the pool for their only daughter who suffers from a form of autism. Activity in the pool is fun for their daughter, but they found that it is also a form of therapy as well. Hydrotherapy alleviates pain and relaxes muscles for additional treatment and leisure. Unfortunately, they paid for nearly ninety percent of the total cost of the project, but it was never finished. To make matters worse, this pool company posted a $15,000 lien on the home and never removed it before they shut their doors.
After hearing about the story from 3 On Your Side, Shasta decided to give back to our local community and help out a family in need of a swimming pool. We decided to finish the pool at no cost to the Behan family. Not only did we finish the pool with additional features and extras, but they also received a summers worth of pool chemicals and supplies from our Shasta Pool Supply stores.
Here at Shasta we realize that in times likes these there is neighboring efforts to be made and to be accomplished. We saw a chance to help out a family in need and simply could not pass up the opportunity. This project was a part of Shasta’s way of reaching out to our community, but it was also a collaborative effort with other local subcontractors.
